What Is Emotional Intelligence?

Emotional intelligence is when you can understand, control, handle, recognise, evaluate, use, manage, and perceive yours and others emotions in positive ways. This will allow you to empathise with others, deal effectively with conflict, reduce stress, and communicate positively.

Emotional intelligence does not naturally come to everyone. Everyone has it, some more than others. However, there are many techniques you can do and tips you can take on to make you more emotionally intelligent.

Once you do this you will be able to handle stress, you will find all your relationships will benefit, your work life and social life will benefit, in fact you will benefit all round.Emotional intelligence is also known as EQ.

To improve your emotional intelligence you will need to focus and improve four areas of your overall emotions. They are:

2) YOUR SOCIAL AWARENESS – To be socially aware is to pick up on and understand the emotional state and needs of other people. It is also having the ability to be empathetic towards others. If you are socially aware you are generally comfortable in gathering and are aware of group dynamics.
