Water Rich foods

Water is essential for your well being and survival after all it makes up over 60% of your body weight. There are two ways your body can get water, either drinking it directly or through your food intake.  

Water is a component of much of our food, however there are those foods which contain a very high percentage of water. When you eat these foods they hydrate you and provide your body with water.

Water rich foods are great to eat in the hot weather as they are refreshing. It is also very easy to make juice out of these foods.

Which fruits have a very high content of water?

  • Watermelon has 92% water content.
  • Peaches have 88% water content.
  • Pineapple has 95% water content
  • Pear has 89% water content
  • Apples have 86% water content.
  • Strawberries have 91% water content
  • Oranges have 88% water content.
  • Grapes have 82% water content.
  • Raspberries have 87% water content
  • Cranberries have 87% water content
  • Cherries have 81% water content
