How to enjoy Incense sticks

Incense sticks are long sticks which are made of combustible material that has been dipped in an aromatic oil (often essential oils). When incense sticks are lit with a flame they produce fragrant smoke which will spread throughout the room. Incense sticks help promote specific responses from the human brain. 

Incense sticks originate from eastern cultures.

Why are incense sticks used and which ones are used for which purpose?

To create a calm atmosphere to help with prayer.

Use sandalwood incense sticks.

To create a relaxing atmosphere so you can unwind

Use sandalwood and cedarwood incense sticks

To help with meditation and yoga

Use Nag champa, frankincense, zen and sandalwood incense sticks.

To help reduce stress and anxiety

Use lavender, rosemary and sandalwood incense sticks. 

To help with spirituality.

How many incense sticks should you burn?

3 incense sticks are burnt during Feng Shui which represent heaven, earth, and humans. It can also bring good luck and prosperity. 

5 sticks are burnt in Buddhism which represent earth, metal, fire, wood and water. Burning 5 sticks it can also bring safety and protection to the home.

7 sticks are burnt in Hinduism to worship the Hindu God Brahma. By burning 7 sticks it can also bring healing to you.

9 sticks are also burnt in Hinduism to worship a preacher. By burning 9 sticks it can also bring success to you.
